Meet Jacinta.

For more than two decades, I've had the privilege of sitting with people in conflict.

As a lawyer, mediator, educator, and speaker, I've worked with families, professionals, organizations, and communities navigating some of life's most difficult conversations.

Over the years, I began to notice that the biggest shifts didn't happen because I found the perfect intervention.

They happened because I began seeing conflict differently.

What Changed My Practice

For years, I believed what many of us are taught to believe: that my role was to help people solve conflict.

So I looked for better questions, stronger strategies, and more effective techniques. I worked hard to move conversations forward, ease tension, and help people find common ground.

And while those things certainly had their place, I began to notice that the moments that created the biggest shifts weren't the ones where I had the perfect question or the best advice.

They were the moments when I stopped trying to change people and started becoming deeply curious about how they were making sense of their world.

That changed everything.

It transformed the way I listened, the way I responded, and ultimately the way I taught others to approach conflict.

Today, my work is grounded in helping professionals see conflict differently.

Through workshops, advanced training, speaking, coaching, and the Curiosity Community, I help practitioners develop a deeper understanding of what drives human behaviour so they can create more meaningful conversations, support lasting change, and enjoy their work in a whole new way.

When we understand conflict more deeply, we become better listeners, better collaborators, and better humans.

I don't believe conflict is something to fear or fix.

I believe conflict is something to become curious about because curiosity creates understanding. Understanding curiosity creates insight. And insight is where lasting change begins.

Curious about getting curious?
Start here.

I was tired of fighting people’s battles for them.

I began to redefine what advocacy is.

When I made the shift away from litigation, toward mediation, collaboration and education; I discovered there was a huge number of people looking for that kind of service from a lawyer.

There are many who are tired of the conventional approach of the lawyer as the expert who solves the problem- as they see it- for the client.

Curious?
